Water element

Definition

Water is one of the four elements that classify the twelve zodiac signs. The water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces) form a triplet that shares an emotional, intuitive, receptive register. Water is the element of feeling, depth, and memory: it absorbs more than it announces, it carries the past forward into the present, and it understands by resonance. In a chart it marks where the inner life runs.

In context

If your chart has several planets in water signs, you most likely take in the world through feeling first and language second. Water's strength is empathy and the ability to register what other people leave unspoken; its blind spot is letting emotion blur the outline of facts.
